Just received the following from an attendee at the now finished Seabird conference on Christmas Island - amazing stuff!

Hi Mike, its Dee,
I'm using Lisa's email as there is no wireless due to the cyclone-
You'll be keen to know we had amazing views of a tiger shrike today just past the golf course, and a second bird was seen at the same time in the tip. Also, there are great numbers of swifts, including needletails (white throated and I think I got pics of a possible silver backed) as well as house swifts (lots of pics of these), edible nest (possibly) and Asian house martin etc. also a yellow wagtail, bridled and sooty terns, and still plenty (at least 20) of lesser noddies. Just thought you'd like to know- reply to my email
