Today I received this answer to my enquiry about Reedy Lake. I thought others might be interested.
It's good to see that it received an environmental flow this summer.
It would appear that shooting is not permitted.

Hello Anthea,

Thankyou for your enquiry regarding Reedy Lake – Nagambie Wildlife Reserve.  This parcel of public land is gazetted ‘Wildlife Reserve’ under the Land Conservation Council recommendations in 1982.  Camping is permitted in the reserve however no formal camping has been developed.  The wildlife reserve is patrolled by Parks Victoria staff.  The lake itself is not used as a water source for irrigation or domestic supply and is not artificially connected to State River infrastructure or water systems.  The lake has been recently filled in later Janurary 2008 through an environmental water allocation.

If you have any further questions please contact Bruce Wehner (park ranger) on 0419 533 220.
