I heard a Channel-billed Cuckoo at the reservoirs on Bakers Gully Rd 1.7km south of Bright, Victoria, on Friday (21/3/08) afternoon and Saturday morning, but not Saturday afternoon. I expect this is not unheard of here, but a little unusual? Both times it only called for 10 seconds. I could narrow it down to one or two trees but couldn't see it.
