The House Crow was seen today between 9:30 and 10:30 am around the
children's playground in James Meehan Reserve, behind Dee Why Beach, Sydney.
We heard it call a few times, somewhat similar to that of a Silver Gull
especially when heard in the distance. At one time it was perched on a
street light beside Clyde Rd and each time it called, its tail flicked down
with wings held stationery. I initially saw it fly in with a flock of
Australian Ravens from the southern end of Dee Why lagoon when I noticed a
smaller corvid with a distinct paler collar amongst the Ravens.

It spent most of time on its own and fairly elusive beside Clyde Rd in the
paperbark trees and banksias, as well as beside the road near my car, on the
roofs of a few units and the street light as mentioned above.
