Mick says this bird was very active so that strongly indicates Little Egret. Intermediates are more phlegmatic. I saw a Little Egret with similar bill colouration about two months ago at Melbourne's Eastern Treatment Plant but that had plumes and typical leg colour. Andrew & I are reassessing the Egret at Edithvale. One of the party has photos. Mike Carter 30 Canadian Bay Road Mount Eliza VIC 3930 Tel (03) 9787 7136 |
