Thanks for responses so far. Main gist - I got far too ambitious!!
Clearly I am probably going to have to do these trips in two halves. Maybe fly
to Mount Isa and do that area, perhaps up to Karumba and back in my 8 to 9
days. Or maybe go SE from Mount Isa and back again.
A separate trip over a similar time scale will have to be set up another time
to go to the South Australian/Corner Country area.
