For those people contemplating coming up to see the Gull at Cooktown this weekend please be aware that currently all the roads are closed including the road from Cooktown airport to the town. We have had over 160 mls in the last 24 hours with 3 slips on the Rex Range and roads south of Mossman closed as well the Rex Highway here at Bushy Creek. All school buses from Mossman were sent home early because more rain is predicted over the next 24 hours. I couldn't even hear on the telphone today it was so heavy. Lets hope the rain eases tonight. Jan at Kingfisher Park. ==============================www.birding-aus.org birding-aus.blogspot.com To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send the message: unsubscribe (in the body of the message, with no Subject line) to: ============================= |
