Hi all, Of interest, we had a South Polar Skua on the Wollongong pelagic yesterday. The bird first approached the boat whilst we were idling across the shelf and followed the boat for some time on our way back in, settling on the water a number of times. We also watched a single Streaked Shearwater for 10 minutes just a few km's offshore on our way back to port as well as a couple of probable Buller's Shearwater sightings earlier on. A great day at sea after a pretty slow start. I'm sure a full trip report will follow later.
