I was birding at Mount Tamborine this morning with a colleague and was delighted to come across a group of six Albert's Lyrebirds, all racing around us in a frenzy. Both males and females - it was quite a sight.

Also seen were Logrunners, Cicadabird, Large-billed Scrub wren, Yellow-throated Scrub wren, White-browed Scrub wren, Eastern Whipbird, Satin Bowerbird, Brown Gerygone, Brown Thornbill, White- throated Treecreeper, Golden Whistler, Pale-headed Rosellas, King Parrot amongst others.

A short visit to an area at the back of Jimboomba earlier in the morning was alive with birds - amongst them nice to see a Speckled Warbler, which is generally scarce in the Brisbane area.
