Hi all
after a fairly quiet first 6 weeks of the year, when a peregrine made regular appearances over my house in Turramurra (northern Sydney), but no other raptors, today saw a bit more activity. A Sparrowhawk cruised past and stopped in a nearby Norfolk Island Pine at about 9:30 - long enough for me to get the scope onto it and for my daughter to get a good look. At 5:30 this evening a pale phase Little eagle cruised over, heading north towards Bobbin Head. In between, the Peregrine was seen at about 1pm. (I was worried that the Peregrine had taken up station and forced my local Sparrowhawk, Brown and Grey Goshawks elsewhere, as I hadn't seen any since before Christmas.)

Also, forgot to add to my post from earlier today that there were 2 Bar tailed Godwit on the water bird refuge at Bicentennial park in with the roosting stilts.
Cheers
Tom Wilson
