For those who are interested, the IOC has recently (17-January) published a major update to the standardised birdnames list (adding a large number of recent splits). We have just completed the update (version 3.5) of the cross-reference of this updated list to Clements v6, which can be downloaded from the IOC website. http://www.worldbirdnames.org [The second worksheet in the file details all changes and corrections to previous versions].
