Hi all, I am a teacher at Yea High School. We have a large project with the year 7's & 8's involving them in conservation. This year we are looking at the bird species in the area. The students plant trees, look at hollow and old paddock tree preservation as well as the birds themselves. Part of the project is involving the construction of nest boxes. Last year they made bat boxes this year we are going to construct bird boxes. I'm not sure what are the best boxes for the best birds for this area. Though powerful owls might be a goer. Anyone have any suggestions. Cheers, Karen -- K.
