Just to elaborate on my previous reply to Tony, there is an interesting page on the Island Thrush on Wikipedia at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Island_Thrush *The Island Thrush, (Turdus poliocephalus) is a common and highly variable forest bird from the thrush family. Almost 50 subspecies have been described from Taiwan to Samoa, and exhibiting a great deal of variation in plumage. Several subspecies are threatened and three have already become extinct.* Tom -- ******************************** Tom & Marie Tarrant Kobble Creek, Qld http://www.aviceda.org http://wildlife.vodpod.com/ ******************************** =============================== www.birding-aus.org birding-aus.blogspot.com To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send the message: unsubscribe (in the body of the message, with no Subject line) to: =============================== |
