Hello Peter,

We were not a bit smarter then and are still not a bit smarter. ote the attempts (probably successful) to introduce Foxes to Tas with in the last five years.
note the constant attempts by people to smuggle in reptiles, fish etc.

We are still introducing feral species without much idea of what damage they may cause.

One page on that website says "Canberra was myna-free until 1968, when
about 100 birds were released, mostly in Forrest". Does anyone know the details of that release? I thought we'd become a bit smarter about that
sort of thing by then.
