Hi All, Thanks to Peter Ewin, Warren Thompson and Michael Ramsey for their suggestion that the birds in Gundagai are hybrid Crimson x Yellow Rosella. Michael mentioned the Forshaw book, and the last paragraph for the Crimson Rosella states "The Crimson Rosella X Yellow Rosella hybrid is indistinguishable from the Adelaide Rosella. Now I know why they resembled Adelaide Rosellas. Thanks to b-a and the members who willingly share their knowledge, my mystery has been solved. I wish everyone a safe and happy Christmas and a great 2008 with lots of Happy birding Marlene =============================== www.birding-aus.org birding-aus.blogspot.com To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send the message: unsubscribe (in the body of the message, with no Subject line) to: =============================== |
