Green-headedWagtail
George Swann advises that the Broome Red-throated Pipit Anthus cervinus
was
today joined by a Green-headed Wagtail Motacilla taivana. The latter is
one
of the Yellow Wagtail splits adopted by the new Christidis & Boles
Australian Checklist. This bird is surrounded by Eastern Yellow Wagtails
M.
tschutschensis, the common form in Australia, so good comparisons are
available. It also has been photographed.
Apparently the pipit 'comes and goes'.
