Hi all

A short visit to Eastlakes on Sunday just before sunset. Not alot to
report but did get my first Greenfinches in Sydney in many years, 6 all
up, plus Goldfinch, Red-browed Finch (good to have them hanging on so
close to the city) , Channel-billed Cuckoo, several Darter including a
couple up on the greens, 12 roosting Cattle Egret some in plumage,
plenty of Clamorous Reed-Warbler, a few Little Grassbirds and
Golden-headed Cisticola, a Sacred Kingfisher, and a few Grey Teal
amongst the hundreds of Coot and many Black Duck. One Latham's Snipe
seen in flight. Also a couple of impressive Eastern Water Dragons.

No crake or bittern activity to report. Thanks to Edwin, Graham, Frank
and others for sharing their info on birds and access to the area .
