Dear Birding-Ausers,
Bill Wakefield and I have a trip from Eaglehawk Neck, Tasmania, scheduled
for 25 November. We still have a number of vacancies for this trip, if
anyone wants to join.
We have run two trips already this year, in February and September. They
were both good trips and I have posted trip reports on Birding-Aus.
The east coast of Tasmania is unusual because boat trips get out in
weather conditions that would be considered extreme in many other places,
particularly Port Fairy, which I have a bit of experience with. This is
because Tasmania itself provides lots of protection for the east coast and
the boat gets out most times - quite safely. In fact, in over 10 years,
Bill and I have only had to cancel one trip. Cost is approximately $100
if we get a full boat.
So, if you want a pelagic off Tasmania to add to your southern sea-bird
experiences, please let me know.
Chris
