I forwarded the messages about possum fur re-use and koala plucking to a friend who reported the following on the subject.... I remember an amazing spring at Ferny Creek about 1969, when Brown-headed Honeyeaters started landing on our hand-knitted mohair beanies and pulling out fibres (people were wearing the beanies at the time).
