Subject: [Birding-Aus] White Grey-crowned Babblers.
Recently I found two white Babblers foraging with a normal one on a
property west of the Gold Coast. They are not albinos as they don't have
pink eyes and they have some dark feathers. They have apparently been
around for between 12 and 18 months in the same location. I have not
revealed the exact location because, as with the concerns about the
Painted Honeyeater nest, I am concerned that there might be unscrupulous
people out there who might collect mutations such as these. Am I being
paranoid or is this a realistic concern? To see the photos go to

Has anyone else ever seen Babblers like these?
