Driving down Anzac Highway yesterday morning (0910hr), a pale turtle-dove flew up and landed on the power lines crossing Anzac Highway where it intersects Beckman Street. As I passed it, I could clearly see the fine dark ring around the back of the neck, much like the many Eurasian and African Collared Doves I've seen elsewhere. I don't know where the other Adelaide records are from, I seem to remember some from earlier this year, but it's the first time I've seen this "species". Hopefully it's not on the increase… Philip ==============================www.birding-aus.org birding-aus.blogspot.com To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send the message: unsubscribe (in the body of the message, with no Subject line) to: ============================= |
