Hi Ian
Probably best place to start would be a quick search through the
archives. I reckon there would be heaps on Iron Range and most of it
I would think still up to date.
Red Goshawks - contact Lotus Bird Lodge. They might be able to help.
The nest that i know of was near there. Just north of a turn off on
the Lilyvale rd a few km before Lotus bird. That was a year ago though.
Let me know if you don't find anything in the archives.
Cheers
Dave

Hello all,
Have planned a birding trip to Iron Range in late November. As this
will be our first trip there I was hoping that some on this mailing
list may be able to offer information that will help make our trip
a success. Info we are looking for are the best birding and camping
pots and any 'pit falls' we might encounter along the way etc. And
being a little cheeky, where would we a have chance to see a Red
Goshawk?
And don't forget that if you plan to do some birding in the
Townsville region let me know as members of the Townsville Region
Bird Observers Club are always willing to assist birdo's visiting
the area.
