I agree that it's easy to just delete anything I can't be bothered
reading - I delete most of them anyway, as they're all in the archives.
But I've often wondered if these type of posts particularly annoy those
who read the list in digest form, as they can't remove them from the
email and have to scroll through them to get to the next posting. They
can't block the sender either, as all the postings come in the one
email.
