Hi there birders,

I'm currently having a holiday staying with family in Artarmon, Sydney. Several nights ago we had a Southern Boobook owl calling outside our bedroom window. My son says that it is a regular visitor. He has also seen Tawny Frogmouths in his garden on a number of occasions.

This is not as exciting as the owls being seen in Chatswood nearby, but they are both nice species to see all the same.
