The southern limit of the White-eared Monarch used to be Iluka Nature
Reserve on the Clarence River, north coast NSW. In the past couple of years
the species has been recorded at Woolgoolga Creek and Crowdy Bay National
Park. Last year I heard one calling at Bostobrick, near Dorrigo. Is this
another case of southward extension of range or were they present there
before but overlooked? I suspect the former.
