I am heading over to WA for a Malleefowl Forum next week and would like to
track down a couple of subspecies I missed on my previous trip to WA. I will
have little time in Perth (going straight to Katanning) when I arrive but
may have a little time before flying out. Any sites around Katanning and
near the airport would be helpful.
The two I am after are:
race obscura of the Yellow-throated Miner. The following sites have been
gleaned from the archives and Frank O'Connors site:
Stirling Ranges, Armadale Golf Course, Pinjarra, Alemup, Mt. Barker
race thomasi of the Little Grassbird (hopefully should be calling). Once
again sites I have are:
Bayswater Bird Sanctuary, Herdsman Lake, Lake Monger, Lake Cooloongup, Port
Gregory
Any info on which of these sites might be suitable or any othe potential
sites would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers,
Peter
