I've just come back from about a week's birding between Adelaide and the
Strzelecki desert. A more comprehensive report will follow, but the
highlights are:

4 Grey-fronted Honeyeaters, Telowie Gorge
4 Elegant Parrots, between Telowie & Pt Germein Gorges

2 Black-eared Cuckoos, Arid Lands Bot. Gdns, Pt Augusta
1 Redthroat, Arid Lands Bot. Gdns, Pt Augusta
4 Chirruping Wedgebills, Arid Lands Bot. Gdns, Pt Augusta
many White-winged Fairy-wrens, Arid Lands Bot. Gdns, Pt Augusta
6 Short-tailed Grasswrens, Stokes Hill

1 Elegant Parrot, Brachina Gorge
4 Chestnut-breasted Whitefaces, Mt Lyndhurst Station
10 Thick-billed Grasswrens, Mt Lyndhurst Station
1 Rufous Fieldwren, Mt Lyndhurst Station
2 Cinnamon Quail-thrushes, Lyndhurst Airstrip
Thur 23/8 - Strezelecki Track
White-breasted, Black-faced, White-browed & Masked Woodswallows
6 Diamond Doves
1 Red-browed Pardalote
4 Orange Chats
4 Crimson Chats
6 White-backed Swallows
4 Pied Honeyeaters
4 Cinnamon Quail-thrush
1 Chirruping Wedge-bill
10s Budgerigars
4 Eyrean Grasswren (Montecollina Bore).
Fri 24/8
3 Elegant Parrots (20 km N of Hawker)
1 Little Eagle eating rabbit (20 km N of Hawker)
2 Dusky Woodwallows (Melrose).
It's looking great up the desert, with vast fields of yellow and white
wildflowers interspersed with the odd purple, blue or red flower.
