My third pelagic birding trip was off Albany. I was adamant that I did not
suffer motion sickness - having never suffered it before and being a bit of
a roller coaster/thrill ride addict.
Imagine my surprise when - as I'm just gazing at the waves - a wave of nausea overcomes me. I just sat for a few minutes, swallowing a lot and concentrating on deep breathing. Then someone yelled "Wandering Albatross!" and I was up and the nausea was forgotten. After viewing the albatross I ate lunch and felt fine for the rest of the day. Belinda Narrogin |
