ABC Radio bird blooper?

Hi there birders,

Did a double take this morning while in the shower. I had the radio on listening to the "AM" programme on ABC Radio. Announcer Tony Eastley was broadcasting from Derby in Western Australia. Part of the broadcast was on the verandah of a local service station.

Not once but twice he referred to the "lorikeets and red-necked parrots" in the trees nearby. I assume he meant Red-tailed Black Cockatoos, or has a new species of parrot suddenly appeared in WA?
