The White-breasted Woodswallows have arrived back at my house in Mildura (NW Victoria) on Wednesday (15/8). They only left for a couple of months. Listening to them yesterday when I got home they sounded very upset and I looked up to watch a Hobby disappear over the house (a new species). Rufous Whistler were calling at a number of sites in Manie SF (between Balranald and Euston north of the Murray River) yesterday. Regent Parrots were also very active. Hopefully with a bit better season this year there will be a few cuckoos and other migrants about when I am poking about.
Cheers,
Peter
