But as birds disperse it makes sense that they would progressively get separated from others of their kind. Like the White-fronted Honeyeater in my Kambah (Canberra) garden (been here every day since 5 July). Being in Sydney, I expect this MMC would be an escaper or releasee. We have had one MMC around southern Canberra for the past several years. There seems to have been a gap of about 20 months and then it has appeared again (if it is the same bird). Philip |
