Hi all,

First and foremost thanks a million to all who replied to my recent request
for information.

I did manage to catch up with the Grass Owl - once at the grasslands near
Brisbane airport and once at the heath area south of Rainbow Beach as per
Thomas and Thomas.

I also managed to catch up with the Black-breasted Button Quail at Inskip
Point. Two very brief sightings in three mornings of walking the spit track
from dawn to approx 9 am.

I am still after the Owlet Nightjar ... I know it is a common bird but it has
jinxed me in all of my many visits to Australia ... if anyone knows ofa
definite spot for it I would be grateful.

I am off on Monday to my old stomping grounds in W'gong for August.

In Sept-Oct I hope to go down the Birdsville and possibly across on the
Gunbarrel and across the top back to Brisbane. I will then be soliciting
information on good spots for a 'wanted list'.

Again thanks to all for your great help. Will be in touch from W'gong.

Ciao,

Antonio
