Hi At present there are 3 Pied Oystercatchers at the edge of Lake Macquarie just below my house. One of them looks pretty much like a SIPO. Longer beak and the eye colour is also distictly more orange than red by comparison to the other two. Legs are also different. They are having a great feed on a lot of mussels recently washed ashore.
