Hi Birders,

If you are located in Brisbane and you are interested in the possible effect
of climate change on biodiversity, you may like to attend this seminar:

*Climate change adapatation for biodiversity seminar at the Herbarium on
Friday*

You are invited to this seminar but please RSVP as space is limited.

Dr Jeff Price who was one of the lead authors on Intergovernmental Panel on
Climate Change (IPCC) third and fourth assessment reports will give a
seminar on the likely impacts on biodiversity of climate change. He will
also discuss a range of adaptation options to try and preserve
biodiversity into the 22nd century. Jeff has been working most recently on
developing strategies for conservation planners to use to help
biodiversity and protected areas adapt to climate change.

*Friday 20th July at 12 noon in the Queensland Herbarium conference room*,
Mt Coot-tha Botanic Gardens. Space is limited so RSVP
 if attending by 12 noon Thursday 19th July.
