Hi Michael,Re Coonabarrabran - see below for Warrumbungle N. P., with camping. Great spot! http://www.nationalparks.nsw.gov.au/parks.nsf/ParkContent/N0035?Opendocument&ParkKey=N0035&Type=xoLake Cargelligo in August should be getting good after the rains - stay at caravan park. Visit Sewerage farm. Northwest to Round Hill Nature Reserve, Mallee species - a "warm-up" to Scotia? Ck birding-aus archives for info on area. Might see you at Scotia at the 'changing of the guard'.
