Dear All,

Has anyone gone for, or know anyway who has gone for, the Red-legged Crake since the weekend of the 16-17th June? (Last posted sighting of the bird was Friday 15th June by Whim Creek staff).

Claire Bartron and I are setting off from Perth on Sunday, intending to visit Whim Creek as planned, despite the potential lack of crake. This was the earliest that we could do the trip due to work commitments. I have never birded in WA before and Claire never north of Perth, so we stand to add a few new birds anyway.

We will be visiting Geraldton for the Black-tailed Gull on the way through, and any updates there would be greatly appreciated also.

Thanks, Pete Kyne (Brisbane)
