Hello all, After 200+mm of rain in the area the lagoons are all full, except Bushells which is 90%. The Swift Parrots were still at Terrace Rd Freemans reach this morning, and the Tassie race of the Striated Pardalote are in the Wilberforce area. Received a excited call from a friend at Cattai telling me had a Masked Owl roosting in a tree outside his house, dashed over but it was a Barn Owl. The Weebills I reported nest building acouple of weeks ago gave up after the gale force winds blew every leaf of the tree, it was a deciduous tree so their chances were slim. Now the Double-barred Finch and Yellow-rumped Thornbills are stealing the nest material. keith b the beautiful Hawkesbury 60km N/W of Sydney ==============================www.birding-aus.org birding-aus.blogspot.com To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send the message: unsubscribe (in the body of the message, with no Subject line) to: ============================= |
