Mistral Point at Maroubra is also good. It's more accessible than Magic Point, and if the wind gets a bit too much, you can go to the northern side of the head and seawatch to the northeast from a sheltered position. Was there earlier and saw a few good birds. Found it interesting to see that half of Maroubra beach has been washed up onto the road!
