Greetings,
the Tyto Info Centre in Ingham is now open. the displays are almost finished. On entering the building one is confronted by a beautiful oversized copper version of a Grass Owl. The displays talk a lot about birders as well as the birds of the district. I encourage you all to drop in to find out the latest info and to update the volunteers on what you see so it can be passed on to others.

Birds Australia North Queensland Group had their AGM on the weekend and combined it with the opening function and a bit of bird watching. The lists below were compiled by Elna Kerswell of Townsville and I have added a couple.
