If you are travelling to Geelong, you have a good opportunity to check some
of our great robin spots.

Flame, Pink and Rose Robins move into the Geelong region during winter.
Flame Robins arrive in the first week of April and stay until about
mid-August. The best spot for Flames is in the paddocks to the North and
West of the Ocean Grove Nature Reserve, Grubb Road Ocean Grove. In 2003, a
flock of 109 birds was seen there in mid-April. Last week there were about
16 Flames at the OGNR.

Pink and also Rose Robins can be found along the Barwon River, near Buckley
Falls Park during winter. Pinks are also in the Geelong Botanic Gardens at
this time of year. By spring, all these great little birds have moved back
into the wetter forests of the Otways

There are some reports of the robins under the heading "Latest Bird
Sightings" on our website http://home.vicnet.net.au/~gfnc/
