Hi,
A document "Ornithological Monographs No 44 by Bickart and Chandler is
available on the internet at
http://elibrary.unm.edu/sora/om/om044.pdf
In that document Forbes is cited twice; first as
Forbes. H. O 1890 Original description of of Chenopsis Sumnerensis.
Nature 41:209 (January 2)
and then a second
Forbes H. O 1892 Aphanapteryx and other remains in the Chatham Islands.
Nature 46: 252-253
Hope that might help.
Cheers
Andrew

Hi all,
A question for our New Zealand friends.
Chenopsis sumnerensis Oliver,1930,New Zealand Birds,p.232.
was based on a nomen nudum, Cygnus sumnerensis Forbes,1892,
If anyone has a copy of Oliver 1930, get they get from it the citation for
Forbes,1892?
Thanks,
John Penhallurick
