Hi John,The fact that a few of us old grey haired birdos who can still remember Yellow-tailed Thornbills and Tailorbirds knew what you were talking about is no argument against having consistency in common names, especially for newcomers and young people. Many others would not have known these names, except those with field guides that use them. Confusion reigns!! Regards Greg Clancy |
