Hi For those who might be interested... no biggie, but Robert D and I had a Swamp Harrier at Minnippi Parklands, Tingalpa on Sunday last (1.4) First time we've heard of one being seen there. It looked like it might stay around, spending it's time perching on low bushes or standing in the grass following mugging by local crows. It seemed to hang around the far back corner of the main lake. Incidentally the 'middle' part of the lake is almost completely dry and overgrown with weeds. An unusual sight! Cheers Colin -- Colin Reid So many birds, so little time...... -- http://www.fastmail.fm - Access all of your messages and folders wherever you are =============================== www.birding-aus.org birding-aus.blogspot.com To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send the message: unsubscribe (in the body of the message, with no Subject line) to: =============================== |
