Paul,
I regularly make trips to study Glossy Black Cockatoo movements here on the
Gold Coast so visiting a number of stands of casuarina is definately a must
if i want to attempt to track these birds down at any time. As such i have
made a number of sightings of Red-browed Finches eating the seeds of
Casuarina's. Hope this helps.
Yours Sincerely
Mr Jade Welch

Yesterday, 16th March, saw 2 Red-browed Finches eating Casuarina seeds
(might have been Allocasuarina). I've never seen this before, is it
commonly
known?
