As a member of both BOCA and BA I am well aware of the great work done by both
organisations [and do not begrudge the membership fees]. Many of the important
activities of each organisation have already been mentioned by other
contributors.
The memorandum of understanding between BA and BOCA, mentioned by Frank
O'Connor, has been in place for sometime. But more important than this piece
of paper is the positive practical cooperation between the two organisations.
Each organisation has its own particular strengths which collectively help the
birds and give value to members and the community. All this augers well for
the future of birds and their habitats without which we would not be birding.
