G'day all,

Here is an URL that refers to the skin now resident at the Queensland Museum.
www.amonline.net.au/birds/research/night_parrot.htm

When I visited the Museum some years ago it was on display in a special low
light case.

A couple of years ago, I was told a dead yellow/green body (like a big budgie)
that had been sighted on the side of the road from Boulia to Winton about 5
weeks previously
1-1/2 days walking this stretch of road had no result .. except I picked up a
huge number of bottles and aluminium bottles

I believe "searches" for this bird are a waste of time !
The best chance is to record them coming into water.

Regards from
Bob Forsyth
