Hello fellow birders
Some of you may remember that in 2005 donations were collected for cancer
victim Kris Tindige who is a bird guide in West Papua. Kris is at present in
Brisbane receiving medical treatment.
Kris founded the Papua Bird Club which has developed a program called Bird
Conservation for university students in Manokwari (on the north coast, near the
Arfak Mountains). This program involves bringing students into the field to
introduce them to birding activity. To do this effectively, they need donations
of used binoculars and telescopes. If anyone can help with this request, please
let me know as soon as possible.
