Hi all,
I went to Barren Grounds and Budderoo yesterday. It was pretty quiet but I did manage good views of Southern Emu Wren at Budderoo and a brief view of Eastern Bristlebird at Barren Grounds (plus several others calling). Other highlights were a Fantailed Cuckoo and two Black-faced Monarchs (catching flying beetles). I also had one brief view of a Beautiful Firetail. While I was trying to get a better look I heard a call which sounded like a Lewin's Rail. After checking my bird call CD I'm pretty sure that's what it was but I didn't see the bird. I took a GPS of the spot if anyone is interested,
Nick
