Hi all

Thought id let you know that a Grey Wagatil was photographed on the road to the Broome Bird Observatory today the 20.12.06.

It was found by Broome Bird Observatory assistant warden Loyd Berry. George Swann and myself arrived an hour later and it was still present.

This is the 2nd Grey Wagtail this season for Broome Loyd also finding the first this year. This is the 4th record for Broome. It has been the best year to date for rare birds and the wet has only just begun.

To recap some of the highlights within striking distance of the observatory since September see below.

Sabines Gull
Grey Wagatil
Spotted Redshank
Arctic Warbler
Garganey
Nordmann's Greenshank
Another Grey Wagtail

Bring on the cyclones so we can get some rare swifts.

Cheers Adrian Boyle
