I don't think they are a pest here in the tropical north (but never having lived or worked on a plantation I could be wrong) - the banana plantations around Mission Beach/Tully and Mossman are in the wetter country, whereas the blue faced honeyeater tends to be a bird of the drier coastal areas and back country Ian Cowan Clifton Beach |
